Drugs & Alcohol Policy Statement Nicholls Colton Group Ltd is committed to providing a safe environment for all persons affected by its work activities. It recognises the inherent risks associated with drug, alcohol and solvent abuse and is intent on safeguarding its work areas and activities from these risks. To support this we expect all employees to attend work in a fit state free from the effects of alcohol and drugs. The company operates a zero tolerance policy in respect to Alcohol and Drugs - this applies to all employees and others undertaking works on behalf of the company. The aim of the policy is to:  Promote the health, safety and wellbeing of all employees and prevent problems arising at work from the effects of Alcohol or Drugs.  Identify at an early stage employees with problems relating to the effect of alcohol or drugs.  Offer employees known to have alcohol or drugs related problems affecting their work, referral to an appropriate source of diagnosis and treatment if necessary. No one shall:  Be in possession of drugs or substances capable of abuse  Consume or be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or substances of abuse.  Take prescribed drugs without informing their supervisor and having first confirmed with their doctor that the drugs will not affect their fitness for work.  Trade in or supply alcohol, drugs and substances of abuse, or permit their presence and use by others. The company has a zero tolerance approach to any misuse of drugs and alcohol which will be monitored through D&A testing. This policy applies to all employees and others who undertake work on the company’s behalf. The procedure for implementing this policy is contained within the company’s HR Policies - HRP 11 defines the requirements for implementing this policy. Failure to comply with this policy and associated arrangements is a serious matter and anyone found in breach will be subject to disciplinary action which may lead to summary dismissal for gross misconduct. This Policy is reviewed annually for continuing suitability. The policy has the full support of the Board of Directors and the Nicholls Colton Group Management Team.
